Baxter Bode
Baxter Bode has been an active leader in the mortgage industry since 1985. He earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University, where he specialized in Finance and Accounting. He also holds a combined undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics from Rollins College, awarded in 1982. As the company’s founder, Mr. Bode brings decades of experience and expertise to the firm’s operations and strategic direction.
Baxter Bode Jr.
Baxter Bode Jr. joined Interlachen Financial Group in 2016 and began working full-time with the firm after completing his undergraduate studies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance, having attended both Auburn University and Rollins College.
Driven by a strong passion for commercial real estate, Baxter plays a key role in originating and managing client relationships. His focus is on building long-term partnerships and identifying strategic financing opportunities across a variety of asset classes. Baxter’s commitment to excellence and client service continues to contribute to the firm’s growth and reputation in the marketplace.
Patrick Higgins
Patrick Higgins is a Mortgage Loan Originator at Interlachen Financial Group. He joined the firm in 2018 while completing his academic studies and transitioned to a full-time role after earning his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in 2019.
Patrick has developed a strong reputation as both an underwriter and originator, demonstrating a keen analytical mindset and a deep understanding of the commercial real estate financing landscape. His passion for the industry drives his commitment to delivering tailored financing solutions and fostering long-term client relationships. Harper Hutton
Harper is a dedicated commercial mortgage broker with five years of experience helping clients secure financing for a wide range of commercial real estate projects.
A graduate of Auburn University, Harper began her career in Nashville before relocating to Orlando in 2021 to expand their reach and deepen their expertise in the Central Florida market.
Known for a client-first approach and a strong understanding of the lending landscape, Harper specializes in structuring tailored financing solutions that align with each client’s unique goals—whether it’s for multifamily developments, retail centers, or office properties.
With a strong network of lenders and a passion for delivering results, Harper is committed to making the lending process smooth, strategic, and successful for every client.
Robert W. Olsen, Jr.
Robert W. Olsen, Jr. (“Bob”) has been active in the mortgage industry since 1978 and serves as Interlachen Financial Group’s primary loan underwriter. A graduate of Mercer University, Bob earned his degree in Economics in 1976.
With decades of underwriting experience, Bob plays a critical role in evaluating and structuring complex commercial real estate transactions. In addition to his mortgage-related responsibilities, he is also actively involved in equity transactions, contributing to Interlachen’s broader investment initiatives with deep analytical insight and market knowledge.
Tom G. Alday, III
Thomas G. Alday, III (“Tom”) has been active in the real estate industry since 1983 and serves as a loan originator at Interlachen Financial Group. With a diverse background spanning appraisal, real estate consulting, and development, Tom brings a comprehensive perspective to structuring and originating commercial mortgage transactions.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Rollins College in 1982. Tom’s deep industry knowledge and client-focused approach have made him a trusted advisor and a valuable member of the Interlachen team.
John Nicholas
John Nicholas has been active in the Florida real estate market since 1987 and serves as a loan originator at Interlachen Financial Group. With extensive experience in commercial real estate finance and apartment development, John brings a deep understanding of the market and a strategic approach to structuring transactions.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Florida in 1986. John’s long-standing industry relationships and market expertise make him a trusted partner to clients seeking tailored financing solutions.

Danielle Plastow has been a valued member of Interlachen Financial Group since 2002, specializing in coordinating and managing the loan closing process. With a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness, she works closely with borrowers, lenders, attorneys, and title companies to ensure every transaction is completed smoothly and efficiently.
Danielle earned her degree from the University of Alabama—Roll Tide! Her depth of experience and attention to detail make her an essential part of the Interlachen team, where she plays a key role in helping clients navigate the final stages of commercial real estate financing with confidence
Laura Mikesell
Laura Mikesell joined Interlachen Financial Group in 2017 and plays a key role in managing insurance compliance and overseeing daily office operations. A graduate of the University of Florida, Laura brings strong organizational skills and attention to detail to her multifaceted role.
She serves as a central point of contact for insurance-related matters, ensuring policies remain current and in compliance with lender requirements. In addition to her insurance responsibilities, Laura supports the firm’s overall administrative functions, contributing to the efficiency and professionalism of the Interlachen office.
Debbie Nicholas
Debbie Nicholas has been with Interlachen Financial Group since October 2012, bringing over a decade of experience in commercial mortgage loan servicing. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Debbie plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth administration of loan portfolios, working closely with clients and lenders to provide accurate, timely, and efficient service. She values being part of a close-knit team committed to delivering exceptional results and takes pride in contributing to a firm known for its professionalism and dedication.
Amanda Reed
Amanda Reed has been an integral part of Interlachen Financial Group since 1996. With an accounting degree from the University of Central Florida, she played a foundational role in building the firm’s servicing department and loan portfolio alongside the company’s founder. Over the years, Amanda has gained hands-on experience in every aspect of loan servicing and has also been closely involved in loan closings.
Known for her deep institutional knowledge and behind-the-scenes leadership, Amanda continues to support the team through her expertise in bookkeeping and servicing operations. Her long-standing commitment and attention to detail have helped shape the high standard of service Interlachen delivers today.
